Valentine’s Day Bouquet Craft

My daughter is finally at the age where all holidays are super magical.

I wanted to continue the holiday excitement by doing something special for her for Valentine’s Day that didn’t involve the typical over priced flowers and chocolates. I remembered a fun bouquet alternative that I saw online and had made for my husband a few years ago for Valentine’s Day and decided to recreate it to fit what she would love!

This craft is super easy and doesn’t take a lot of time or money!

– Vase
-Styrofoam Ball
-Tissue Paper or other fun things to fill the vase
-Wood Dowels
-Glue Gun
-Fun decorations
-Any candy or small gifts that you want to use! (Items in my bouquet: Candy, Hatchimal toy, Stickers, small Frozen Puzzle, Disney flashcards, Nail polish)
I had some of the items already but everything else was purchased from the Dollar Store or Target.
1. Place the Styrofoam ball in the center of the tissue paper and gather the remaining tissue paper around it. Place the Styrofoam ball inside the vase (you might need to trim the Styrofoam down to fit inside). You can also use candy or something else to place in the vase, just as long as it hides the Styrofoam.
2.Use the hot glue gun to glue the bouquet items to the wood rods (you can also choose to paint the rods before this step to add a bit of color)
3. Start arranging your bouquet by placing the rods into the Styrofoam until you are happy with the placement of everything. I use the long thinner rods so I can easily trim them to different lengths with scissors but you can also purchase them in a pack
4. Add fun decorations!
That’s it! It took me about 20 minutes and less than $15 to make this one for my daughter.
The best part about these bouquets is that they can be used for any holiday or event: Mother’s Day, birthdays, Easter, baby showers, Halloween…they also make great centerpieces for parties! You can personalize these to fit anyone and they can be as simple or extravagant as you would like and still turn out amazing!

 Happy Valentine’s Day crafting!
