Transitioning Your Wardrobe for Fall

Hello! Tara here from Salt and Pepper Moms. Cooler temperatures are well on their way. Which means we can slowly start breaking out our fall/winter clothes. I look forward to this time all year long! I always feel like everyone gets to dip into their boots and sweaters before us!

As I look into my closet, I see lots of bright colors from my summer wardrobe. Now is the time to transition, and bring out the boots and warm colors. When I transition my wardrobe, I don’t throw any clothes out. I actually pick a few pieces from my summer clothes that go well with my fall outfits. These pieces need to be versatile and neutral.

Here are some key colors that you will see a lot of this season:

I love the deep color of plum. It adds such warmth to outfits this fall. You will see coats, pants, blouses, and painted nails in this color. I got my coat for a great deal at a local Ross store. It adds the perfect amount of color to this outfit. I know that H&M has some awesome plum skinny pants for a good price right now.

Grey is such a versatile color. It goes with everything. Grey will be a staple this season. You will see grey sweaters, pants, boots, blazers and scarves. If you have grey in your closest from summer, be sure to keep them around for this fall season.

Whether its a button up or scarf, plaid makes fashion for fall. It comes in all different colors, and looks fabulous layered with other clothing. Throw it with a skirt and boots or jeans, it will look great not matter what.

Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope that as weather permits, we can all enjoy some fall fashion. Remember these key colors and textures as you are doing your seasonal shopping and you will look fabulous!
