Redneck Run at Westgate

Saturday, April 2nd at 8AM – Join us for a fun 5K redneck run and 10k plunger relay with live country music along the courses, after party and free beer for finishers at Salt Tacos y Tequila and Whiskey Rose Bar & Grill & more! Runners will also receive a medal and tech shirt. Race proceeds benefit Dogs on Deployment.

7th Annual Sidewalk & Porch Sale – Historic Downtown Glendale

Saturday, April 2nd at 10AM to 4PM – Come out to Historic Downtown Glendale for a fun day in the sun and sales galore. Enjoy lemonade stands to quench your thirst, ice cream treats and one-of-a-kind gift items. Start your day at the Glendale Visitor Center to pick up a walking map (5800 W. Glenn Drive.) Click here for the event flyer. This event is also the kick off to our Annual Operation Women Warriors drive in partnership with the Soroptimist International of the Kachinas. Kenny Love & The Rock-er-fellas at Westgate Fountain Park

Saturday, April 2nd at 6:30 to 9:30pm – Americana, Roots and Swing Band –  Arizona’s premier band performing originals and covers in the Classic Americana, Roots Rock-n-Roll, Rockabilly, Twang, Surf, Country and Western, Bop, Swing, Blues and Boogie Woogie Musical genres.

As You Wish Mommy and Me Read and Paint

Saturday, April 2 at 9AM to 10:30AM – Olivia! We’ll read Ian Falconer’s famous story about everyone’s favorite mischievous little pig!  After the story we will paint  mini pig banks in our own version of Olivia! Recommended Ages – Pre-school and up

Peoria Arts & Cultural Festival

Saturday, April 2nd at 8AM to 4PM – Enjoy a day of arts, crafts, entertainment, workshops and more at the City of Peoria’s and Peoria Unified School District’s annual Arts & Cultural Festival presented by Sky Zone. The free event showcases student artwork, band and choir performances, dance and theater performances, children’s art activities, artistic chair auction and more.

Luke AFB 2016 Air Show

Saturday & Sunday, April 2nd & 3rd at 9AM to 5PM – Luke Air Force Base is proud to present to the Arizona community the “75 Years of Airpower” airshow. Attendees will get to experience exciting aerial acts, an array of static displays from both the past and present, and have the chance to interact with the Airmen who carry out the Luke mission of “Training the World’s Greatest F-35 and F-16 Pilots.” The Airmen at Luke are excited for the chance to say ‘thank you’ to the community for the incredible support they give our mission each day.


Jerry Prunty Back To The 50s Concert

Great Arizona Beer Festival at Sloan Park (Mesa)

Saturday, April 2nd at 5PM-9PM – This craft beer tasting evening showcases more than 200 brews from 50 breweries from across the country and around the globe, each providing samples of their proudest brewing achievement. As a locally-organized fund raising event, all proceeds benefit Sun Sounds of Arizona, a non-profit radio reading service helping 49,000 people in Arizona with print disabilities.

Children’s Museum of Phoenix

Saturday & Sunday, April 2nd-3rd at 10AM to 3 PM – Learn how a seed grows into a plant by creating a miniature paper garden. Use the rose windows of Chartres Cathedral as inspiration to make a “Radial Symmetrical Flower.” Observe a sculpture made out of curving metal rods as you create a “Continuous Line Drawing.”


Desert Botanical Gardens

Saturday, April 2nd at 9AM to 1PM – Come meet the caterpillars that will turn into our beautiful Arizona butterflies. On display we will have caterpillars and chrysalises collected from the Garden. Watch the caterpillars munch on their favorite host plants, form their chrysalises and emerge as magnificent butterflies.
Sunday, April 3rd at 5PM to 10PM – Bruce Munro: Sonoran Light at Desert Botanical Garden will now be offered every night through May 8, 2016 because of overwhelming popularity! Exceptions are April 1 and April 30 due to Garden-wide events. Reservations are strongly recommended.
