Moms are mad, scared, upset, disgusted, and plain fed up across the nation!
These emotions and soooo many more are whirling around after a tragedy happens that involve mass shootings.
It’s happening at schools, churches, concerts, malls and more. We are looking for answers where answers cannot be found. Or at least not as fast as we NEED answers as to how to stop these horrific acts of violence. During these times I lean hard on my faith, it is what has worked for me and my family during difficult times both personally and on national levels. We come together as a family, we tackle the tough topics, we communicate the happenings and we pray hard.
But what is there for those who “can’t even” with the #prayforparkland posts?! I get it. Where I lean on faith…that just won’t work for others…and that’s OK. There is a very apparent voicing that there has to be more than wishing, praying and wanting change – and I can appreciate that.
We have to get ACTIVE, we have to JOIN FORCES, we have to SPEAK UP!
But what does that mean? How to find the words. What words could I have to say about all this?
The tensions are high no matter what, especially when it comes to the topics like gun control, security, etc. These topics I won’t be covering today. I don’t have the answers and I am definitely not equipped to tackle such issues.
Instead, I link arms today with our sister sites after the heartbreaking incident that happened on Valentine’s Day. And this is how I am getting ACTIVE, JOINING FORCES, and SPEAKING UP!
I am leaning hard on my sisters to help me with the words to express how to deal with this, what steps to take, sharing their emotions and more. I don’t begin to know the answers to this. If the answer was simple these shootings wouldn’t be happening. So here are posts from moms that are mad, scared, upset, disgusted, and fed up across the nation!
I have separated posts in an effort to help you navigate what you need at this time. Are you looking for how to take action? Visit Destin Moms. What to hear how other moms are feeling? Visit Iowa Moms….my personal favorite. There are words that will help you during this time. If you need to take a break from all this, do that. I believe we all handle tragedy differently. No one way is the right way.
