ZooLights, Let it Glow! (November 24 – January 11)
ZooLights is an annual holiday light show like no other in the Valley. The two new Music in Motion shows will feature music from the movie Polar Express and Carol of the Bells by Artic Express. Meet Tortuga the Talking Galapagos Tortoise ad Experience the Zoo’s new 4-D theater with amazing effects including snow, fog and gusts of wind. You will feel like you are personally on board the Polar Express! 5:30–10:30pm nightly.

Westgate Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony & First Snow Fall (November 25)
Celebrate the start of the holidays and watch as Fountain Park magically transforms into a winter wonderland! The night kicks off with a festive ice skating performance, followed by Santa’s official arrival and the lighting of our holiday tree. Then, at 7pm, experience the very first snow fall of the season. Santa will be available for photos from 7-9pm.

Glendale Glitters (November 28 – December 20)
Glendale’s award-winning holiday lighting event has become a family tradition across the Valley and Arizona, and this year the celebration kicks off on Friday, Nov. 28 and Saturday, Nov. 29, from 5-10 p.m. each evening. The stunning display of 1.5 million lights will illuminate sixteen blocks of Historic Downtown Glendale, making it the largest free holiday light display in Arizona.

Las Noches de las Luminarias (November 28 – December 30)
Visit the Desert Botanical Gardens this holiday season for a chance to explore the garden, which is decorated with more than 8,000 luminarias and thousands of white twinkling lights. Enjoy entertainment by 10 different groups. Hot cocoa and apple cider available for purchase. 5:30-9:30pm on 16 select days between Friday, Nov. 28 and Tuesday, Dec. 30. Members only Friday, Dec. 5 and 6. $25/members ($10 ages 3-12). $30/general admission ($12.50 ages 3-12).

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park Holiday Lights (December 12 – January 3)
Ride the open-car train around the park and enjoy holiday displays. Opening night includes tree-lighting ceremony, entertainment and a visit from Santa, who will be at the park through Tuesday, Dec. 23. 6:30-9pm on Friday, Dec. 12 through Saturday, Jan. 3 (excludes Dec. 24, 25 and 31). $3/train ride and $2/carousel ride. Children under age 3 ride free with a paying adult.


The Polar Express (November 7 – January 4)
Every winter the Grand Canyon Railway’s Polar Express comes to life on a journey from the nighttime wilderness of Williams, Arizona, to the enchanted beauty of “the North Pole”-where Santa Claus and his reindeer are waiting with a keepsake present for every good boy and girl. You’ll be smiling from ear to ear, as you watch children’s faces light up when the train arrives, and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while listening to this timeless story. Santa Claus Helicopter Sighting(November 29 – December 20)

Santa is flying into Deer Valley Airport with a Helicopter. For dates and times, please visit the Deer Valley Airport Restaurant Facebook Page. 

Santa’s Holiday Tea (December 21)
Young visitors will be enchanted by the cheerful tea with Santa, hosted by the man in red himself at the Wigwam! Unlike any other holiday experience, families will relish the moment where Santa and Mrs. Clause leisurely join for a private visit over holiday tea and invite the children to share wishes and dreams in an intimate family setting. Enjoy readings of holiday favorites, letter writing and crafts, and music to entertain all. $25 per person, $12 per child. Prices are subject to tax & gratuity.

North Pole Experience (November 21 – December 27)
Located in Flagstaff, The North Pole Experience is the only one of its kind in the U.S., providing guests a unique Christmas adventure of a lifetime. Children all over the world come to visit the 12,000-square-foot workshop, which includes Santa’s Toy Hall of Fame, Santa’s Toy Building Workshop, Santa’s Bakery, Santa’s Office, Elf University, “Area 47″ (Santa’s secret sleigh hanger) and of course, one-on-one family time with Santa! The entire North Pole Experience is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Tickets start at just $38 . 480-779-9679.

Breakfast with Santa at Outlets at Anthem (December 6)

Enjoy Breakfast with Santa, Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 8:30am to 9:30am. Tickets are on sale until December 4th at Customer Service for only $5 and all the proceeds go to The Daisy Mountain Firefighters Charities. Santa will be on hand to greet each child and have story time before the Santa House opens for discounted pictures.

Breakfast with Santa at the Wigwam (December 13)
Watch the magic come alive while feasting on a hearty breakfast at Litchfield’s. Children can visit with Santa, put in their Christmas wish list, and receive a special holiday gift. $20 for adults, $10 for children, 2 & under complimentary (price subject to tax & gratuity). Nightly Snow Fall at Westgate (November 25 – December 24)
Westgate Entertainment District will be bringing snow to Glendale for the Holidays! It will snow each night between November 25th through December 24th (excludes Thanksgiving) promptly at 7pm and 8pm for 8 minutes within the Fountain Park area.

Winter Frozenland Event (November 28 – December 25)
Charming Pony Parties, located in Chandler, AZ, is transforming into a Winter Frozenland this year. They are bringing in 30 tons of real snow to play in and Frozen characters will be there. They’ll also have a petting zoo, horse and carriage rides and more (all included in the price of the ticket). Available for separate purchase will be a hot chocolate & coffee truck, food trucks, vendor boutique, snacks and Santa. Professional Santa photo packages will also be available.

Holiday Ice (November 28 – January 3)
The only outdoor seasonal ice skating rink in the West Valley is coming to The Wigwam! $8 Adult | $5 Children under 10 (price includes skate rental).

Holiday Carriage Rides (November 28 – December 29)
Enjoy free horse-drawn carriage rides around Westgate Entertainment District throughout the holiday season.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra (November 30)
Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) will wrap up 2014 by performing their rock opera The Christmas Attic live for the first time in arenas across the nation on their Winter Tour 2014, including two shows at 3pm and 7:30pm on Sunday, November 30th at Gila River Arena.

The Cookie Doughjo Holiday Classes (December 5 – December 23)
The Cookie Doughjo is kicking off the holiday season with gingerbread decorating on 12/5 at 6:00 pm, 12/6 at 9:30 am and 12/7 at 9:30 am (1 hr long) or sign up to do some holiday baking on 12/9-12/12 at 10:00 am (1-1 1/2 hrs long). You can drop off your kiddos (ages 6 and up) on 12/17 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm for a Parents Night Out to get that last minute holiday shopping done. Prices and more details are listed on the website or you can call (602) 448-5635 for more information.

Children’s Museum of Phoenix Snow Much Fun Day! (December 13)
This event includes breakfast with Santa (8-9am), snow play (9am until snow melts), visits with Santa (10-11:30am, 12:30-1:30pm) and making gingerbread houses (10-11am, 11:30am-12:30m, 1:30-2:30pm, 3-4pm). Art studio projects include making window snowflakes, ornaments and paper chains (10am-3pm). Also enjoy an inflatable hockey rink, bounce house and Slapshot! game (9am-1pm). $35/family of four (does not include $11/person museum admission). $30/family of four for museum members (free museum admission for members). Admission includes snow play.
