My family, including a 1 year old and 4 year old, recently enjoyed a fun staycation at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa. Our room was spacious and included a separate sitting area, apart from the bedroom with televisions in both rooms and a private balcony. As a family with younger children, this is my dream layout for any resort. We can put the kids to bed and enjoy some adult time in the other room. Or, when my toddler wakes up at 5am, we can hang out with her in the other room without waking everyone else. The room layout alone already has us talking about returning next summer!
We spent most of our time at Arizona Grand’s waterpark. My 4 year old dare devil was bummed that he didn’t meet the height requirements to ride the eight-story thrill slides, but he loved the zero-entry wave pool with 2 foot swells. My favorite was floating on the lazy river, which had the effect of an actual river and offered double inner tubing. I loved the fun water sprinkler features and waterfalls throughout the river. My toddler enjoyed running through the splash pad area!
While there was plenty to do on site, we loved having so many great restaurants within walking distance and nearby attractions within driving distance. The Arizona Grand concierge was so helpful in making dinner reservations for us at Aunt Chiladas and they even sent a golf cart to transport us to the restaurant. My kids declared the golf cart ride to the restaurant the best part of our entire staycation. We spent our day after checking out at Arizona SEA LIFE aquarium. My kids always enjoy learning about the fish and Logan was old enough to participate in their Dive Log Book program. Every room had an area where the kids learned about what was in the room and they got a stamp in their passport, which they could trade in for a little medal.
Arizona Grand is currently offering a Stay & Play Package. The package includes a $50 resort credit (which can be used at Aunt Chilada’s), free kids menu item with each paid adult entree at certain restaurants and 6 wristbands to the waterpark. See the website for more details.
