I don’t know if you are like us but we are always looking for awesome places to take the kids during the summer.
Not necessarily a vacation, but somewhere local where we can let the kids play, eat some yummy food and just enjoy some time together as a family.
Enter in, The Westin Kierland. They have the most incredible packages right now for Summer! The Big Chill Season!
They are offering rooms starting at $149 per night and this includes a $50 dining credit or two free sessions on the Kierland FlowRider wave simulator. Not only that, but they have non stop activities for the entire family! Check more out here!
We were recently able to go and check it out for a weekend and we enjoyed smores by the fire each night, glow parties by the pool, live music, special menu’s by the pool and the Phoenix Zoo even came and brought LIVE animals for the kids to see, learn about and touch!
It was the little details that this mama loved too. Like the kid friendly menu by the pool. My kiddos loved the bowl of frozen grapes to munch on and keep them cool (Daddy didn’t mind the Pina Coladas either.)
If you are looking for something for just the kiddos, they even have a Summer Camp!
They range from full day sessions to morning or afternoon sessions. And the activities are anywhere from Lego Themed acitivites, to pottery painting, to swimming, crafts and campfires. Check out the details on all their summer camp options here.
Along with everything that we were able to fit in that weekend, we also enjoyed the lazy river and the kids spent most of their time down the slide. The best part was at night, they kept the water slide open and lit it up during the “glow party”. It was so cool!
What are some things you look for when trying to find hotels for a staycation? Kid friendly activities? Waterslide or additional water attractions besides a pool? Either way, The Westin Kierland definitely thought through options for the whole family.
The Westin Kierland Hosted us in exchange for our honest opinion about our stay at the resort. All of our opinions in this post are our own and are honest ones! (As always!)
